FIRE CalculatorBalance Sheet
Balance Sheet (Statement of Financial Position)
Enter each item's year-end balance. Subtotals, Horizontal Analysis, and Vertical Analysis (share of Total Assets) are calculated automatically.
Assets
Liabilities & Net Assets
FIRE CalculatorStatement of Activities
Statement of Activities (Revenue & Expenses)
Revenue is broken down by donor type and expenses by FIRE category (direct programs, core mission support, resource mobilization & communication) so they feed straight into the Financial Health tab.
How to read: revenue increases are green, expense increases are orange because they need attention, and a shrinking surplus is red. Percentages are calculated from the previous year's value.
Vertical analysis of the Statement of Activities is calculated as a percentage of the same year's Total Revenue, following common income statement convention.
FIRE CalculatorLiquidity Analysis
Liquidity Analysis
Calculated automatically from the Balance Sheet. Measures the organization's ability to cover short-term obligations.
FIRE CalculatorFinancial Health
Financial Health (FIRE)
Some figures below are not in the Balance Sheet or Statement of Activities, so they are entered per year here. Total Revenue, Total Expenses, and other items are pulled automatically from the previous tabs.
